Cretan cuisine: History, Evolution, Questions and Answers (?). 



The very successful symposium took place between July 16-17, 2011 at the beautiful village of Karanou (Municipality of Platanias, Chania, Crete) and activities included a visit at a traditional cheesemaker in Omalos, a visit at Xiloskalo (the entrance of the Samaria gorge) and of course a lot of great food by the village women.

Diamantakis winery has won a gold medal for Prinos 2010 (Malvasia Di Candia Aromatica-Chardonnay) in CHALLENGE INTERNATIONAL DU VIN 2011 that took place in France.
Competing: 4624 winnow from all over the world.
Gold Medals: 315 Gold Medals.
Greece & Crete: 12 Gold Medals for Greek wines, 2 of them from Crete.
